DISPUTE TIPS
Welcome to DisputeMe! Here are some tips and reminders to make your experience with us more awesome:
When putting up a Dispute,
Remember this: everybody loves a good, detailed story.

a. Let the judges understand what the argument is about.
Context is the key to get your points across. If the judges do not understand what the disagreement is about, how would they know who to side with?

b. Don’t skip on adding a text, a video, or an audio recording
explaining your side of the argument. Make sure that you have explained yourself and your side down to the T, this will help the judges better understand your point.

c. Argue with nothing but facts.
Do not argue with just your personal feelings alone because that will lead you nowhere.
To win the judges’ favors, you must back-up your argument with facts that can be verified so that you can confidently dispute the result if you are to lose (which we know you would not because, hey, you argued with facts).
Turn your argument into something exciting by bringing in mutual friends or colleagues to judge who between you two is the one that is right.
Although we have to admit, our friends might be a tiny bit biased! So if you want a 100% bias-free result, let the DisputeMe community be your judge – we assure you, they will be more than willing to weigh in on the argument!
Q. What is considered a Dispute?
A “Dispute” is defined as a disagreement, argument, or debate. Basically, anything that you can’t come to an agreement on could be considered a Dispute.
Q. How are Disputes settled?
Disputes are settled by judges who pick a side that they think is right. The winner in the Dispute will be revealed once the time limit for the Dispute is up or all of the judges have chosen the winner.
Q. Who are the judges of my Dispute?
Totally up to you! You can set whoever you want to be your judges. It can be your friends or a selected few. If you can’t decide who to appoint as judges, you can also give the power to the DisputeMe community and open it up to everyone.
Q. Why is there a time limit? Who sets the time limit?
We don’t want your disagreement with a friend to drag on. That is why we encourage you to set a deadline for your Dispute. You are the one who will set the time limit depending on how long you want to allow the judges to weigh in on the discussion. If you can’t decide, DisputeMe sets all Disputes to be settled by default as 24hrs.
Q. Do bets on DisputeMe involve money?
That depends. Bets could be money, dares or punishments for the losers for being stubborn and/or wrong.
Then again, in DisputeMe the freedom is all in your hands, so it’s totally up to you and your friends. DisputeMe does not enforce or facilitate the bets. We simply allow for some type of bet to be written into the Dispute
Q. Do I have to pay to put up a Dispute?
Nope! Posting a Dispute is totally free. In fact, all features of DisputeMe are free.
Q. I’m having a problem with DisputeMe?
Oh no! We’re sorry to hear that! Let us know what the problem is by sending us an email at support@disputeme.net
